1. Information We Collect

QuitVape collects the following information to provide our service:

Account data: Email address, name, and profile image when you sign up.
Usage data: Puff logs, craving logs, quit profile settings, streak data, and weekly challenges — all stored securely to track your progress.
Chat data: Messages you send to the AI coach are processed by OpenAI and are not stored on our servers beyond the session.
Voice data: Audio recordings for voice chat are transcribed via OpenAI Whisper and not permanently stored.
Device data: Basic device identifiers for push notifications and app functionality.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide personalized quitting coaching and progress tracking
To sync your data across devices
To improve the app experience
To process subscription payments via RevenueCat
To send occasional product updates (you can opt out)

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit). We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

OpenAI: For AI coaching responses (data processed per OpenAI's privacy policy)
ElevenLabs: For text-to-speech in voice mode
RevenueCat: For subscription management
Google Analytics: For anonymous website analytics (can be declined)

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user, you have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

6. Data Export & Deletion

You can export all your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Export Data). To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

7. Children's Privacy

QuitVape is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email.
